Dorte tager hver dag med toget til København, hvor hun burde følge sine timer på universitetet, men i stedet går i Scala for at få dagen til at gå. Der er så meget man burde gøre. Også skrive.
Jeg læste den til læsekreds i maj. Jeg havde ikke læst noget Helle Helle siden gymnasiet, hvor det var lektier. Den gang var jeg ikke særlig begejstret, så jeg var spændt på denne. Jeg syntes, at den var velskrevet og jeg læste den hurtigt, da jeg gerne ville finde ud af, hvad der så skete med Dorte. Men jeg må nok bare indse, at novelle formen / kortroman formen bare rigtig er mig. Da jeg var færdig med den, manglede jeg ligesom noget. Jeg manglede baggrunden. Hvorfor handler hun som hun gør, hvorfor er hun som hun er. Jeg fik for lidt indsigt i hende. Jeg forstod ikke hvorfor hun handlede som hun gjorde, og hvorfor hun var så ikke-handlende. Hun lod sig bare føre med af andre.
