Oskar skal lave et projekt i skolen og han vil interviewe sin tipoldemor, der er født og opvokset på Sicilien. Gennem hende får han kendskab til rødderne tilbage til Sicilien. Det lykkes nemlig Oskar at få sin tipoldemor til at fortælle om dele af sit liv, som hans far ikke vil have bliver kendt. Gennem hendes små fortællinger til Oskar får han et voldsomt billede af, hvordan den sicilianiske mafia har påvirket mange familiers dagligdag lige fra betaling af beskyttelsespenge, trusler og mord, til modstand mod mafiaen

En god historie, hvor oplysninger om mafiaen er fint pakket ind i Oskars projekt i skolen. Dele af indholdet bygger på sande hændelser, mens hovedpersonerne er fiktive.

Velskrevet historie der bør kunne fange nok specielt drenge, der er mafia interesserede

Jeg syntes serien bliver bedre og bedre, da bøgerne sammen fortæller en facetteret og ret spændende historien.

Som resten af serien. Bøgerne i denne serie og i Heroes er egentlig ikke særlig lange, men forfatteren formår alligevel at give nogle ordentligt formede karakterer samtidig med, at der er crime/action. Den overordnede sag mod Bullen familien kører over de første 7 bøger i serien. Hver bog tilføjer nogle nye aktører til historien eller aktører kun tidligere nævnt i tidligere bøger får deres egen bog og egen historie. Det fungerer ret godt, da der for hver bog bliver tilføjet nyt til personerne. Man lærer dem bedre og bedre at kende og forstår mere og mere, hvordan tingene hænger sammen
