14-årige Junes fortrolige er hendes onkel Finn. Han er kunstmaler og hendes bedste ven. Vi befinder os i New York, og han dør af en hemmelig sygdom, som ingen taler om. Midt i sorgen kommer der en ny person ind i hendes liv, der viser sig at kunne hjælpe hende med savnet. Det er Finns hemmelige partner Toby. Historien foregår i midten af 1980'erne, hvor aids stadig var en skamfuld sygdom. Det er en historie om kærlighed og venskab, hvor hjælpen kan komme fra en uventet side og række hånden frem.
En rigtig god bog som jeg med det samme blev suget ind af. Personskildringerne er virkelig gode og man lærer dem alle at kende og forstå dem. Selv bipersonerne er fint beskrevne.
Det er også en god historie om identitet og finde ud hvem man er og acceptere sig selv og andre.
Også en historie om søskendeforhold og hvordan de udvikler sig.
En bog med flere tråde som dog alle hænger sammen og samles til sidst.
I materialevurderingen beskrives den som en ungdomsbog for voksne. Jeg er enig. Den er for voksne, men også for modne ungdomslæsere

venskabet med Nadia. Julie oplever, hvordan hun skiftevis bliver lukket ude i
kulden og inviteret ind i varmen alt efter venindens humør. Oven i det hele
skal Julie til at gå med bøjle, hvilket ikke ligefrem forbedrer situationen -

En fin og flydende fortalt historie om en helt
almindelig 12-års pige, som bøvler med venindeskabet. Én ting er, at hele ens
verden er ved at forandre sig, men når man ikke en gang kan regne med sin
bedste veninde, så ser det hele umuligt ud. Julie er heldigvis stærk nok til at
finde sig selv midt i urimelighederne. En historie, som rigtigt mange i
aldersgruppen vil kunne identificere sig med.
Jeg læste den egentligt som en del af min gennemlæsning af bibliotekets ung let bøger, men syntes dog ikke den hører dertil. Det er mere en tween bog

Fortælling om tre drenges indbyrdes venskab og
konkurrence med tilbageblik på deres familiehistorier om død, savn, vold og
vrede. Nutids-fortællingen er trykt på hvide sider, mens tilbageblikkene er
trykt på sorte sider med hvid skrift
Fin, alvorlig og tankevækkende fortælling, med
meget stof og stærk persontegning i sig. Indholdet er relevant for alle drenge
i 12-14 års alderen, da alle kan genkende konkurrencen, usikkerheden,
samvittigheden og en joke som tager overhånd. Kompositionen er enkel og meget
virkningsfuld. Læseteknisk er bogen let for aldersgruppen, nemlig lix 13. Bogen
er fuld af sort/hvide stregtegninger, som er meget karakteristiske og tilføjer
et helt særlige stemningslag. Forsiden er helt usædvanlig stærk.

Astrid og hendes lillebror skal på sommerferie
sammen med deres far. De er meget nervøse og spændte, fordi han har været i
fængsel og derfor har de ikke set ham i lang tid. Deres ferie starter stille og
roligt, og langsomt vender børnene sig til deres far igen. De bader, laver mad,
spiller spil og hygger ved bålet om aftenen. Den sidste aften tager deres far
alene ud på søen for at fiske. Pludselig skifter vejret og det begynder at
tordne, lyne og regne kraftigt. De to børn bliver bange, og sammen trøster de
hinanden, og kæmper sig gennem natten uden deres far. Han kommer først tilbage
næste morgen, med store sår i hoved og rifter på armen. Hvad er der sket? Har
han svigtet dem igen eller..?
Det er en velskrevet
og meget rørende historie om svigt, ansvar og om at lære sin far at kende igen.
Bogen giver et realistiske billede af hvor svært det er, at være barn/ung til
far, som har været i fængsel.

fanger læseren. Man mærker virkelig krigens gru. En af den slags bøger, som kan
vise, at bøger kan være andet end kedelige

Efter at Hugos far døde, har Hugo lukket sig
meget inde i sig selv. Fraværet fra skolen er for stort, og Hugos mor kæmper
for at det skal blive anderledes. Hugo lever mere og mere gennem
computerspillet CC, hvor der eksisterer zombier, vampyrer og andre væsener. Når
Hugo er i den virkelige verden tænker han på spillet. Han får sværere ved at løsrive
sig fra spillet. Hver gang han falder i søvn er han fanget i en grotte af et
uhyre, og spillet holder ham fanget mere og mere. Kan han komme fri?
Pigen Emma kommer til at spille en rolle, og det
samme gør en ravklump, som hans far fandt kort før sin død.
En spændende bog,
der på en god måde fortæller om konflikten mellem fantasiverdenen og den
rigtige verden, når man er meget optaget af og bruger meget tid på computerspil.
Uhyggen kommer
snigende og man bliver som læser suget ind i gyset.

Mark er en ung dreng, som så mange andre, men så
alligevel ikke. Han tiltrækkes slet ikke af pigerne på samme måde som de andre
drenge. Til gengæld kan han se, når en dreng har en god røv og ser lækker ud.
Men han er usikker på, om han nu også er bøsse.
Det er en realistisk og troværdig fortælling, men da den er så kort og let (lix 10) kommer man ikke rigtig i dybden med følelserne. Den bliver lidt overfladisk. Men til at det er en lix 10 får man en god historie
